This summer means so much more to me this year. In the past, it felt like just another day. But now that both my boys are going to be in school full time come August I want to play just a little bit more!
We joined a pool and have all been sleeping VERY well because of it. Chad jokes that by the end of the summer I will be black. We shall see! The boys are making HUGE strides on their swimming abilities and confidence and making tons of friends. In between chunking them in the pool momma gets to lounge and read.
Chad did an olympic triathlon this weekend and rocked it! All those early morning training sessions paid off!
We are gearing up for another week at kids camp with the church. Getting excited to spend some time with the churches elementary kids. And maybe act like kids ourselves!
JD and Kade have a few more weeks of baseball. Kade seems to be ready at any minute to give the sport up, while JD is figuring out all of the rules and technique. They have both improved so much!
Last week I started teaching the boys the basics on our FREE piano (see previous post here) and JD proceeded to practice for 90 minutes. The kid has determination and tunnel vision! Kade's less interested in the piano but seems eager to learn how to read. So in between poolin it we are becoming very diverse!
And that, my friends, is summer time with the Hoes.
