today

Today I want my mom.

Today I want to chat about the steals I've found in preparation for redoing spaces.

Today I want to swallow my pride and thank her for the gift of hunting and thrifting. And teaching me to decorate creatively.

Today I want to scream at my mom. I want her to know how mad I am that she couldn't find a way out of the entangled slavery her physical body held her in. I would remind her she is worth a cherished, full life.

Today I want the mom I had in the tiny moments of a healthy enjoyable mother-daughter relationship.

Today I would have the guts to plead for her verbal praise. Today she would be free enough to give it.

Today I need the entire trinity to swallow me up.
