A friend of mine is going through some heartbreak. Yesterday the Lord shared with me that He wanted to smother her with His love, peace, and tenderness. He then gave me the image of how I sometimes will snatch up one of my boys and despite their protests kiss the fool out of them. They squirm and act like they don't love that I'm smothering them, but the light in their eyes tells me otherwise.
God wants to do that. He runs after us with ruthless pursuit. Sure, sometimes He has to correct us and guide us. But even still, most times He just wants to bundle us up and lavish us with love.
Receive it, embrace it, let Abba know that His snuggles are the best!
