We play the rhyming game pretty frequently especially in the car. The boys like to figure out which words rhyme. So when they discovered the match of Chad and dad they were ecstatic! (maybe that is overboard, but they did laugh and think it was cool)...
Chad is an awesome dad. He manages to balance a firm but gentle hand. His fathering is a gift that the Lord placed in him. Chad has the ability to father total strangers as I saw happen this past week at kids camp. He is lovingly loud and playfully obnoxious which is fun for boys. Chad will rough house and chase and attack with anything he can chunk (Nerf guns, water guns, pillows, other kids--- you get the picture!). I think his light heart is what draws the boys in, and keeps them there willing to submit to his authority.
Chad is courageous. He is available. He has taught me so much in how to just jump in and love with boundaries without walls.
