Praise the Lord

We headed out as planned for an out of town visit on Friday right after JD got out of school. About 30 minutes into our drive we hit a rain storm that was thick enough that caused Chad to slow down on the interstate from 70 to around 55 mph. The traffic was thick for a Friday afternoon. Chad was moving to the right lane after passing and we hydroplaned, spun around and went rear first into the bar ditch. One of three metal poles holding up a large interstate sign stopped us. We all braced ourselves in the quickness of the spin and no one was hurt. All the while I was saying "Jesus, Jesus, Jesus". Other than stiff necks we are all okay. Mickey- my car- kept us safe.

In the heat of it we knew some of the dangers, but it really didn't sink in what could have happened until later. God is so gracious. We went on with our trip as planned and for the next hour Chad drove about 45 through the rain white knuckling it.
