We are a math family, well, at least Chad, JD, and I are. The verdict is still out on whether Kade will join us! He might be just a little too cool for the math wagon, even still he already does basic addition... Just a few months ago JD swooned Chad with the statement "daddy, I LOVE numbers."
Numbers make sense, they aren't emotional, and the rules of math are firm-black and white. These qualities are ones Chad and I love. :)

However, my math mind has lead me down a dark path today. The results of curiosity suffocated me just a little.
Here is the equation in my least favorite form of math---a word problem.
A gorgeous, hilarious, and intelligent(these are just descriptive words to make you loose sight of the actual word problem) mom drops off her bright and loving kindergartner to school. It takes 15 minutes for the morning drop off. After a day of bonbons and napping the mom leaves at 2:45 to pick up her 6 year old son. She returns home at 3:10 How much times will the marvelously superb mom spend dropping and picking up???
the answer? 40 minutes
40 minutes A DAY. That is a total of 200 minutes a week. Roughly 800 minutes a month.
Do you see the part that is depressing!?!? That will add up over YEARS to become a chunk of wasted time.
But really, its not wasted- it provides us great conversations, laughs, and time to pray. It also gives this mom a chance to use the natural sun light to pluck my eyebrows or visit with a sweet friend.
Now if only I could work out an equation that looks like this:
napping + bonbons - weight gain - dirty house= reality
