Adopted?

Do you ever forget my kids are adopted?


So do I.

And what a gift that is! That we have all merged so much together that not only by looking at them but by their actions I forget I did not give birth to them.

Until...we observe something that they struggle with that might just be related to what did or did not occur as they formed in the womb and the first few years of their lives. And then you remember that they missed out on some prime time developmental stages.

Whats more amazing than forgetting where they came from is that we see how far we will all work to make a better future and overcome those long forgotten years. Because God can, and has swept in and repairs the damage.

Isn't that what happens to us all?
